About Us
The Arkansas Young Artist Association, a non-profit organization, is dedicated to motivating, highlighting, and recognizing the artistic and creative abilities of visual art students in Arkansas high school art departments through engaging art activities, competitions, and scholarships.

As the largest non-profit organization of high school visual arts students in Arkansas, the Arkansas Young Artist Association has been serving students since 1979. Our mission is to encourage and support visual arts across the state for all high school students through professional speakers, competitions, exhibitions, and scholarships. Each spring, our association hosts the AYAA Convention and Competition, an officially sanctioned event by the Arkansas Activities Association (AAA).

Our non-profit association includes high schools of all types from across Arkansas, currently representing over 60 institutions, including traditional public schools, private schools, S.T.E.M. schools, charter schools, and magnet schools. Traditionally, we serve over 1,500 student members each year, fostering their artistic growth and development.
